This is a private reference website, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody or release status, release someone, post bond, or obtain official booking records for you. Please use the appropriate public office below for a current answer or an official record.
Choose the Office That Holds the Record
Middlesex uses a regional custody facility, so the location of an arrest does not make every record a Sheriff record. Start with the office that created or holds the material. The contacts below separate current custody and facility-held booking material from Sheriff-generated reports and court case information.

Match the request to the need before making a call or submitting a form:
- For a current regional-custody lookup, use the official MPRSC Current Inmate Listing. It is not a Middlesex-only daily booking feed.
- For a Sheriff incident or arrest report, review the Sheriff report-request instructions. The stated $12 charge is for an incident report, not a booking-photo fee.
- For facility-held confinement records or a focused adult booking request, use the MPRSC FOIA process. It uses actual costs, a five-working-day response framework, up to seven more working days when needed, and a possible deposit over $200.
- For a court case or later disposition, use the official General District or Circuit Court route. A court record, rather than a custody listing, is where later case status is checked.
- For Virginia state-custody information, use the Virginia Department of Corrections offender locator. It does not replace the regional-jail source.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the official Bureau of Prisons locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator System, each with its own custody scope.
